After locking down your skincare basics, we’re talking about serums. Or what we like to call our skincare superheroes.

Just a few years ago, we got through our routines totally fine without serums. Now, our beauty cabinets feel incomplete without them. What makes them so great?

Serums are products with targeted formulas and ingredients that boost your skincare routine and help you achieve a specific goal quicker – whether that’s getting brighter skin, treating acne, or fighting the signs of aging.

You apply serums after cleansing and exfoliating or toning and before putting on moisturizer. You can layer serums, starting with the lightest consistency and building up to the heavier ones.

When using two or more serums in your skincare routine, read up on the ingredients and make sure that you don’t combine ingredients that may potentially damage your skin. For example, Vitamin C and retinol serums are unstable and may react negatively with other ingredients.

Which serums are right for you? Read on and find out!
